Welcome Clara!

Welcome to the world baby Clara Ruth Podany!

It's amazing how one day you are taking selfies in the mirror to prove to your friends you really are getting bigger . . . 

And two days later you have your little baby wrapped up in your arms. 

Baby Clara was born at 8:52 pm on Monday, August 24th 2015. We arrived at the hospital about 5:45-6ish, so it was a pretty fast turn around. She came out face up after an hour of pushing. Her due date was originally Aug 27th but was moved to Sept 2nd when we moved to Kansas. I'm guessing it was probably the 27th :).

Weight - 8 lbs, 1 oz - 65%
Length - 20 in - 69%
Head - 13.5 cm - 35%
Hair - light brown
Eyes - baby dark blue 

Cedric came the next morning with Bob to meet his much anticipated baby sister. 

First photo of our family of four! Cedric brought Clara a pink stuffed cat and Clara gave Cedric a Duplo ice cream set. So far everyone is getting along, though I know it won't last forever. 

Clara and I stayed at the hospital until 9 pm on Tuesday then it was time to head home. It was hard to sleep with all the nurses coming in and out and tests being done. Plus the wifi wasn't great so I didn't get to watch any Netflix. 

It may have been a short stay in the hospital but it was a successful one. We are so happy to have you home with us Clara!
