Farewell to Boston

After we decided to move back to Kansas and live in Lawrence we only had a few weeks to do our final tour of Boston. Bob was leaving first so we hit up the town every chance we had.

Of course, we had to say goodbye to Giacomo's. We hit the South End one as it had become our "regular" spot. We just couldn't be bothered with the North End anymore.

We spent lots of time at Cedric's favorite "truck park" and walking around our neighborhood of Newton Highlands.

We used our memberships to the New England Aquarium and the Boston Children's Museum. Cedric will really miss the touch tank and penguins.

I took Cedric on his first carrousel ride on the Greenway.

Cedric loved to play on the light up floor at the children's museum. He finally worked up the courage to climb up in the construction room on our last trip.

Cedric said goodbye to his friends the inch worms. Though I won't miss them at all, Cedric had a great time finding his little friends all over the place!

On Memorial Day we went in to the Public Garden and took Cedric's first ride on the Swan Boats. He wanted to see more ducks and swans on the water but had a good time. He really liked the "Make Way for Ducklings" ducks.

Mommy had to say goodbye to Wagamama's. I bribed Cedric with his first Sprite - which he called his "fancy drink".

We also said goodbye to our local - O'Hara's and Shake Shack. OH such good food!

We took our final rides on the Green Line - D train.

And we said goodbye to Vivie. This one has been the hardest to let go of - he still pretends to call her on an old flip phone. He misses his friends but I know he will soon make new ones but it won't be the same as Vivie, who he met at 4 months.

We said goodbye to our apartment, Cedric's first home.

And we said goodbye to the city. I still feel a little guilty taking Cedric away from Boston but I know we will take him back many times to visit.
