2 years

Two years ago, at 10:41 pm, Cedric had his first photo taken.

Two years later, things look pretty much the same. 

Cedric turned two today and was not very happy about it. We've been reading Curious George and the Birthday Surprise for the past three months (courtesy of our friend Evelyn) but he still didn't get it. He understood that birthday means cake, of which he only likes the frosting.

Cake kept him calm -er. 

Cedric is taking after me in his eating - Picky and salt-loving. He barely ate any of his cake and only used a spoon to eat it. Some of us don't want to get that messy. 

Here is the "after" picture. Is he really a two year old? I've seen 30 year olds messier after cake!

We spent Cedric's birthday at home, since we spent the previous two weekends away in Kansas. He was able to do something he loves, watch some of Cars, Pooh Bear, Mickey Mouse Clubklouse, and George (watch-a-monkey). I'll soon be accepting a Parent-of-the-Year award. :)

Now we are posed with a bigger problem, what to do with all the toys?

We did go to Cedric's favorite "truck" Hyde park in the afternoon. That seemed to cheer him up. 

Last weekend we were in Kansas and were able to have a little party with both sets of grandparents and a few friends. 

Again Cedric wasn't too enthralled with the cake past the little bit of frosting he ate. And he didn't get very messy then either.

The messiest Cedric was was tonight for his special cheeseburger dinner (which he barely ate) when he went to town on the ketchup. Silly boy takes after his mommy, ketchup is the best!
